Athens, Reimagined
Take a walk on the Athenian side...
Walking in the rain is an art form perfected, I think, by Grace Jones. Walking in New York is running. Walking in Paris is floating. As for Athens? As for Athens…it’s navigating a collision of sorts, while also trying to avoid one.
In the tradition of Baudelaire, the grand flâneur, I invite you to take a little off-site stroll through the ruins and backstreets of a pretty wild city, Athens.
Because whether you make the ancient monuments like the Parthenon and classic neighborhoods like Plaka your anchors or are completely oblivious to them, walking around Athens at even given time of day or night rarely feels formulaic for Athens is fertile country for the imagination, is it not?
