Welcoming all film lovers for another year, the ultimate summer cinema experience returns to the GB Pool at Hotel Grande Bretagne, as featured in The New York Sun.
Pool Your Cinema is back on the legendary Hotel's 7th floor, offering unique movie nights, complete with gourmet surprises and a stunning view of Lycabettus Hill.
Inspired by the hotel's 150th anniversary, this year's lineup pays tribute to its most famous thespian guests, who have stayed at the Hotel Grande Bretagne over the past 150 years. Viewers will have the chance to enjoy all-time classic favorites and Hollywood blockbusters under the starry sky, featuring performances by Daniel Day-Lewis, Hugh Jackman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Emma Stone, and more.
Says Hollywood-based international travel writer and global wellness guru Pam Price, who previewed the rooftop setting in May, “I cannot think of a more spectacular way to take in a great summer movie than here, on the beautiful rooftop of the Hotel Grande Bretagne in the heart of Athens — in a word, wow.”
The cinematic delight is complemented by a high-level gastronomic experience, crafted by the experienced Chefs of the Hotel. Unwind by the pool with a drink paired with the menu set including fingerfood and classic cinema dishes: Freshly popped pop corn with sea salt, organic nachos with handmade crispy yellow corn tortilla chips, savory tacos with lettuce leaves or shrimp tempura, mini cheeseburgers with juicy ’Black Angus’ beef patty, and refreshing ice cream will add a different flavor, to every minute of the screening.
