New Hilton to debut on remote Karpathos, the Greek "it"island of 2025
Closer to Crete than to Athens, the buzz is on the rise
It’s Christmas time, there’s no need to be afraid…of missing out on all the latest Greek island news. There is always anticipation ahead of the new year about what the next hot Greek island destination is going to be. For several reasons, it looks like in 2025, Karpathos is going to have its moment.
Karpathos, along with smaller Kasos, is the most southerly island of the Dodecanese. It is mountainous and somewhat remote, with excellent beaches and authentic island culture preserved in small hilltop towns like Olympos. While Greek Column has not been to Karpathos we’ve flown over i and it looks tantalizing. Greeks have known about it for years, of course, as well as mainly European tourists.
That is about to change. Not only is there plenty of chatter in the travel press about 2025 will see the debut of the Sound of the Sea Karpathos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. According to the press release:
Sound of the Sea Karpathos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, following a franchise agreement with CHC Hotels, will bring a boutique, adults-friendly resort experience to Karpathos, Greece, marking the brand’s debut on the island. Slated for opening in the spring of 2025, the 43-key resort will offer guests an authentic island retreat, complete with direct beach access and locally inspired dining options. The resort will feature 42 rooms and one cottage, with 14 rooms offering private pools and six rooms equipped with mini spas. Guests can enjoy amenities such as an outdoor pool, fashion boutique shop, fitness centre, and wellness centre with three treatment rooms. Dining options include an à la carte restaurant with Greek organic cuisine and a fresh fish and seafood restaurant, as well as a snack and coffee/cocktail bar. The resort is conveniently located just 850 metres from Karpathos Pigadia port and 14.3 km from Karpathos Airport.
Stay tuned…
