YES YOU CAN: Fly non-stop from LAX to Athens
Norse Atlantic will introduce the long but non-stop flight this summer
Memo to Kim Kardashian: you no longer have to break up your journey from the Beverly Hills to Mykonos with a pit stop in New York or London.
Norse Atlantic is expanding its transatlantic offering with a route between Athens and Los Angeles, providing the only nonstop connection between the West Coast and Greece.
The new service complements existing flights between the Greek capital and New York-JFK. The low-cost airline continues to offer more options for traveling between Europe and the U.S. West Coast with budget-friendly fares.
The new route is scheduled to begin on June 3, 2025, operating four times per week on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Promotional fares start at $269, one way. For the summer 2025 season, Norse Atlantic will also operate flights from Los Angeles to London-Gatwick, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Oslo, and Rome-Fiumicino.
"We are delighted to launch a new route from LAX to Athens later this year," said Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways. "There is currently a gap in LAX routes serving Athens, and this service will fill it. We anticipate a positive response to this affordable option, as it opens more transatlantic opportunities for our customers and offers the chance to explore the ancient city of Athens. This route is another step in our mission to make travel accessible and cost-effective."
One of our colleagues and trusted travel industry insiders, Giorgos, said simply, “Wow.”
